Description

Wilfred Thesiger's party in the Wadi 'Andam, possibly at Al Jiza well. Ali bin Said bin Rashid, a sheikh of the Yahahif lineage of Wahiba Bedouin, stands next to his couched camel in the centre of the group. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, sits atop his camel, which stands at the back of the group.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
