Description
Seated half length portrait of Salim bin Habarut, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, taken during the party's journey from Ramlat al Ghirbaniyat to Furai well. Salim bin Habarut, a sheikh of the Junuba Bedouin, sits facing forward. He wears a dark coloured thobe (shirt) and an embroidered headscarf topped with an 'agal (head rope).
