Description
Seated half length portrait of Salim bin Habarut, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, taken during the party's journey from Ramlat al Ghirbaniyat to Furai well. Salim bin Habarut, a sheikh of the Junuba Bedouin, sits facing forward. He wears a dark coloured thobe (shirt) and an embroidered headscarf topped with an 'agal (head rope).

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
