Description

Half length standing portrait of an Iranian or Arab porter in Dubai. A middle-aged man with thick bushy beard stands on a Dubai street in front of a stucco wall. His plain ghutra (headscarf), topped with a thin 'agal (head rope), lies over his shoulders, and he wears a thobe (long shirt) with a wide v-neck. Two drawings of dhows (sailboats) mark the wall behind him.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
