Description
View of a man standing with three camels in Al Ain oasis. At the centre a man in a light coloured thobe (long shirt) pulls on the head rope of a saddled camel. Beside him, on the right, another saddled camel is couched by some bushes. At the far left another camel grazes on a large bush. In the far distance more trees grow. This image was taken during April 6-30, 1948, when Wilfred Thesiger stayed at Al Muwaiji fort in Al Ain as a guest of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
