Description
View of Salim bin Kabina, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, in Al Humrah sands during the party's journey to Umm az Zumul. On the left Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, stands on the crest of a near sand dune, facing towards the right. Just beyond the party's campsite lies in the background below a low dune ridge. Scattered saddles, camel blankets and other gear lie in the sand. In the far distance rolling downs continue across to the horizon below a cloudless sky.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
