Description
Wilfred Thesiger's party at a well in the Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali) in the region between 'Uruq ash Shaybah and Al Dhafra sands. A number of men and camels crowd around a leather trough. This well is likely the well called Khaur Sabkha (literally, "salt-flat well"), which was the first well Wilfred Thesiger encountered after crossing the 'Uruq ash Shaybah dunes.
