Description
Portrait of members of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party men butchering a camel in the Shi'b al Raqq near the Haij well. In the foreground four men are gathered around a dead camel. They are starting to skin the camel. Musallim bin Al Kamam, a sheikh of the Musaifar lineage of Rashid Bedouin, stands on the left side of the camel. Another man stands in the right foreground, cutting the skin at the camel's back. Sahail bin Tahi, a tribesman of the Mudairiba lineage of Rashid Bedouin, stands in the right background. A large bush grows in the sand behind them.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
