Description

View of people collecting coral on the shore in Manama on Bahrain Island. In the foreground a naked boy stands in shallow water beside a few pieces of coral. Behind him a number of men collect coral from the piles dotting the shore and load it into carts drawn by donkeys. In the distance a small dhow is moored in shallow water, while further beyond another small dhow (sailboat) sails by.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
