Description
View of date palms growing in a depression in Liwa oasis. On the left a grove of young date palms grows in a depression below a high ridge of sand. A few tufts of vegetation grow on the slope of the ridge behind the palms. Beyond the dune ridge, a large salt flat (sabkha) covered with salt bushes stretches out into the distance. In the far distance the edge of the flat meets a large wind-rippled dune massif.
