Description
View of Wilfred Thesiger's party trekking across dunes in Al Humrah sands during their journey to Umm az Zumul. On the right a line of tracks runs from the foreground into the central distance, where three of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions ride in a line along the crest of a sand dune, heading into the far distance. Each man's mount is followed by one or two baggage camels. Three dry bare trees grow in the sand, which is dotted by a few clumps of scattered small vegetation. High above the hazy sky is entirely cloudless.
