Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party travelling in Al Khatam or Al Humrah sands south of Al Ain. In the foreground the crest of a low, wind-rippled dune rises in a crescent shape on the left. Just behind the dune two of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin travelling companions lead their camels in a line in the middle distance between low rolling downs, heading towards the left. In the distance beyond low rolling downs continue out to the horizon beneath a vast cloudless sky.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
