View of a limestone cliffs atop Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] mountain. On the left a ridge of limestone, mostly bare of vegetation, slopes down towards the central foreground. Far below the ridge a rock escarpment rises along a vast flat plain dotted with vegetation. Wilfred Thesiger spent a week on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] hunting Arabian Tahr [Hemitragus jayakari] with Arab and Bedouin guides in April 1948.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
