Description
Portrait of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party gathering water from a well at the southern end of Jabal Hafit (Jebel Hafeet). In the foreground five men stand in a well. Hamad [also known as Hamad al Mahri], a tribesman of the Mahra Bedouin, stands in the foreground, second from the right. Behind the well three members of the party pour out water for two waiting camels.
