Portrait of two sailors on a dhow (sailboat) in the Persian Gulf near Dubai. Two sailors changing sails perch on the yard of a dhow. On the left one man sits down on the main yard by the mast, while on the right a second man uses rope to tie the sail to the main yard. This image was taken during Wilfred Thesiger's May 18-28, 1948 journey by dhow from Dubai to Bahrain Island.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
