Description
Seated group portrait of a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party with a few of the Wahiba Bedouin in the Wadi Halfayn. Three men sit in the sand facing forward. On the far left Hamad, a tribesman of the Mahra Bedouin, kneels washing his hands. Beside him on the right two Bedouin tribesman wash their hands with water from the pot sitting in front of them. On the far right a young boy, a tribesman of the Wahiba Bedouin, sits in the background. In the distance beyond lies a vast flat plain dotted with a few bushes.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
