Description
View of a stray camel at a salt flat (sabkha) in Liwa oasis. A large expanse of sand lies in the foreground, entirely bare of vegetation. At the centre a stray camel walks from the sands towards a salt flat dotted with sparse clusters of vegetation in the distance. In the far distance groves of date palms grow along the far edge of a salt flat where it is bordered by high, sheer-faced dune massifs.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
