Description
View of a young boy at a ruined adobe building near Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit]. In the left foreground the pillar of a ruined adobe building sits in the sand. In the distant sand on the right, a boy walks towards the ruin. Behind the boy sand dunes rise in the far background, and in the distance beyond the mountain Jebel Hafeet (Jabal Hafit) rises above the horizon. This image was taken during April 6-30, 1948, when Wilfred Thesiger stayed at Al Muwaiji fort in Al Ain as a guest of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
