Description
View of Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, riding a camel in Al Humrah sands during the party's journey to Umm az Zumul. In the central foreground Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a tribesman of the Awamir Bedouin, rides his camel down a dune slope, followed by a baggage camel. He sits upright on his camel, which is heading towards the right, and pulls strongly on its head rope. On the far right a tuft of qassis (sedge) grows on the dune.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
