Description

Full length standing portrait of 'Amair bin 'Omar, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, at a camp north of Al Ain during the party's journey between Al Ain and the Ramlat Unayq sands. 'Amair bin 'Omar, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, stands with folded hands looking down at a pile of supplies near his feet. He is surrounded by sand, dry bushes and dunes. In the background at the far right a saluki dog stands at attention below a far dune.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
