Description
Portrait of two members of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party sitting beside a cooking fire in the Wadi al 'Umayri. Rai, a member of the 'Ifaar tribe, sits on the left. Two metal bowls sit in front of him. Rai joined Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party in Wadi al 'Umayri as a rabi'a (a local escort who ensures safe passage through a tribal area).

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
