Description
View of the Shindagha district from the Bur Dubai side of Dubai Creek. In the foreground 'arish huts and enclosures made from palm fronds line Dubai Creek. On the far right three people rest by the water next to a beached boat. In the far left background a square stone watchtower, the Shindagha, rises high above nearby houses in the Shindagha district. Further along on the far side of the creek one and two storey houses made of coral are built close together in the Shindagha district. Two large dhows (sailboats) sit in watery sand near the centre of the creek.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
