Description
View of date palms growing in a depression in Liwa oasis. A grove of young date palms grows in the centre of a depression, surrounded by high ridges of sand. A few tufts of vegetation grow on the sides of the dune around the palms. Beyond the dune's ridge a large salt flat (sabkha) covered with salt bushes stretches out into the distance. Clusters of thick vegetation and date palms grow along the far edge of the flat, where it meets high, wind-rippled dunes.
