Description

Standing portrait of one of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's retainers in the Al Khatam sands near the mountain Jebel Hafeet (Jabal Hafit). A man with a thick dark beard and moustache, one of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's falconers, stands in the sand holding a camel stick next to a few short trees. He wears a light coloured thobe (long shirt) topped with a cartridge belt and ghutra (headscarf) tied around his head. Some bags lie in the sand next to him, and on the far right another man stands at the edge of the frame. In the distance Jabal Hafeet (Jabal Hafit) rises high above a flat expanse of rocky sand dotted with shrubs and trees.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
