Description
View of a high ridge atop Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] mountain. In the middle distance a ridge of limestone, mostly bare of vegetation, rises high on the left and slopes down in peaks towards the far right. In the foreground a dry watercourse runs along the bottom of the ridge down to the right. Beyond the ridge a vast plain dotted with sparse vegetation spreads out into the far distance. Wilfred Thesiger spent a week on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] hunting Arabian Tahr [Hemitragus jayakari] with Arab and Bedouin guides in April 1948.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
