Description
View of Salim bin Kabina, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, in Al Humrah sands during the party's journey to Umm az Zumul. In the foreground a line of tracks leads along the crest of a near dune to where Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, sits atop the dune, facing towards the right. The dune is rippled with waves of secondary dunes, and marked by long shadows cast by Salim bin Kabina and his footprints. On the right footprints and camel tracks criss-cross the sands below. In the far distance beyond rolling downs continue out to the horizon below a cloudless sky.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
