Description
Standing portrait of Awad bin Khazai, a sheikh of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin and a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, taken during the party's journey from the Wadi Animrit to the city of Al-Saum. Awad bin Khazai poses on a rock face, looking out towards the left. He is leaning on a rifle and camel stick with both hands.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
