Description
View of the bottom of Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] mountain. In the foreground sparse trees and bushes grow on a rock strewn plain below the slopes of Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit]. In the left distance the high limestone walls of the mountain slope down to the plain. A low rock escarpment rises above the plain at the far right. Wilfred Thesiger spent a week on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] hunting Arabian Tahr [Hemitragus jayakari] with Arab and Bedouin guides in April 1948.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
