Description

Wilfred Thesiger's party watering camels in the Wadi Halfayn. On the left two men stand in a well. Mahalhal bin 'Ati, a tribesman of the Al Khamis lineage of Awamir Bedouin, stands in the well on the left. The second man in the well stands to Mahalhal bin 'Ati's right, and is giving a bowl of water to some camels. Behind them a third man holds a pan of water for some camels standing on the far right. Behind them tall trees and large bushes grow in sandy soil.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
