View of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party at a sabkha in Al Humrah sands during the party's journey to Umm az Zumul. In the near left one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions stands in an area of rolling downs. Behind him three camels graze in the sand, and in the distance a vast white sabkha (salt flat) lies beyond the downs on the right. In the far distance a high dune massif borders the flat on the far side.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
