Description
View of one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions in Al Khatam or Al Humrah sands south of Al Ain. In the left distance one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions stands in a depression at the bottom of a large steep dune that slopes up to the left. Large hadh (Cornulaca monacantha) bushes grow scattered across the sands behind him. In the distance more sand dunes rise above the horizon, below a vast cloudless sky.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
