Description
View of a fort in Al Buraimi oasis, possibly Al Khandaq Fort. In the foreground large date palms and low bushes grow at the bottom of a sand hill. Further back one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions stands holding a rifle on his shoulder in front of a fort. The fort has large round watchtowers at each corner of the fort and a walled trench that runs around its exterior.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
