Description
Portrait of Mabkhaut bin Arbain, a tribesman of the Bayt Gidad lineage of Bayt Kathir Bedouin and one of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling companions, in the region of the Kidan plains (Suhul al Kidan), north of Khaba well in the Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali). He is standing in front of a dune and carries a rifle on his shoulder.
