Description
Portrait of a sailor mending a sail on the shore of Dubai Creek. In the left foreground a sailor sews the edge of a length of sail cloth that has been spread out over the sand. On the left behind him a water barrel sits in the sand, while in the background on the right a man stands beside one of the dhows (sailboats) beached in the sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
