Description
Close up portrait of a nakhoda at Dubai Creek. An older man with a grey beard stands in front of two beached dhows in Dubai Creek. He is a nakhoda (captain) of a dhow (sailboat) in Dubai. He wears a patterned ghutra (headscarf) on his head and a light coloured waistcoat over his thobe (long shirt). In the far distance one and two storey houses sit along the opposite bank.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
