Description
Portrait of Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, sitting in camp during their journey from Al Ain south to Wadi Samhan. Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a tribesman of the Awamir Bedouin, sits in the centre amongst an array of cooking equipment and coffee paraphernalia. On the right a small fire is burning, while on the left baggage lies beside a large shrub. In the distance beyond large trees and shrubs grow between low rolling sand dunes.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
