Description
Half length portrait of an Arab man, one of Wilfred Thesiger's guides, at a well near the city of Sharjah during the party's journey from Jabal Sumeini to Sharjah. The man, a retainer of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, stands looking into the far left distance. He wears a thobe (long shirt) and an embroidered ghutra (headscarf) topped with an agal (head rope).
