Description
View of the Shindagha district from the Bur Dubai side of Dubai Creek. In the foreground 'arish huts and enclosures made from palm fronds line Dubai Creek. In the central distance a large dhow (sailboat) is beached in the sand. Nearby piles of coral, used for building houses, sit at the tide line. In the far left distance a square stone watchtower, the Shindagha, rises high above nearby houses in the Shindagha district. On the far right side of the creek one and two storey houses made from coral are built close together in the Shindagha district.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
