Profile portrait of Salim bin Kabina, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, riding a female thoroughbred Wahiba camel near Al Qabil, at the southern end of Jabal Hafit (Jebel Hafeet). Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, kneels atop the camel. The camel stands facing towards the left. Salim bin Kabina carries a rifle under his shoulder and holds a camel stick. In the distance beyond a line of vegetation grows in the far background.
