Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party travelling in the Al Khatam sands south of Al Ain, on their journey towards Al Humrah sands. A line of tracks leads from the near foreground across a vast dune slope to into the distance. In the central background four of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions ride camels in a line along the lee side of a long low sand dune. A few tall trees grow on the dunes surrounding them, and in the distance low rolling dunes stretch out across the horizon.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
