Portrait of three members of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party men butchering a camel in the Shi'b al Raqq near the Haij well. In the foreground three men stand around a dead camel. On the left an elderly man carves into the hump of the camel with his khanjar (dagger), while a young man watches on the right. Sahail bin Tahi, a tribesman of the Mudairiba lineage of Rashid Bedouin, stands in the background wearing a loincloth and holding a khanjar.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
