Description
Portrait of Salim bin Kabina, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, resting the Al Batin sands near Liwa oasis. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, kneels in the sand next to two metal pots. He is smiling, and leans heavily on the camel stick in his left hand. Salim bin Kabina also has an decorated silver dagger tucked in his belt.
