Description
Half length portrait of Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a guide in Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, taken during the party's journey from Ramlat al Ghirbaniyat to Furai well. Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a tribesman of the Awamir Bedouin, sits facing forward. He wears a silver khanjar (dagger) on a cartridge belt over his thobe (long shirt), and a headscarf topped with an 'agal (head rope).
