Description
View of limestone cliffs atop Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] mountain. In the foreground a steep ridge of limestone, mostly bare of vegetation, rises high on the left and slopes down in peaks towards the far right. In the distance below the ridge lies a vast plain dotted with sparse vegetation. Wilfred Thesiger spent a week on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] hunting Arabian Tahr [Hemitragus jayakari] with Arab and Bedouin guides in April 1948.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
