Description
View of the Shindagha district from the Bur Dubai side of Dubai Creek. In the foreground a man walks past an abra (ferry boat) with a cloth canopy sitting in shallow water on the right. Further beyond it a large dhow (sailboat) is beached in shallow water. On the left two rowboats sit on the shore, while nearby many people walk across the sand, past piles of coral. In the far distance a square stone watchtower, the Shindagha, rises high above the creek, while on the right one and two storey houses sit close together in the Shindagha district.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
