Description
View of three camels belonging to Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party in the Al Dhafra sands during the party's journey to Baynunah. In the right foreground a large scraggly bush grows in a stretch of flat sand. In the background three saddled camels wander across the flat below a low ridge of bare sand. This image was taken during Wilfred Thesiger's journey from Al Ain to Liwa oasis, Al Dhafra and Baynunah sands in November and December 1948.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
