Description
View of a salt flat and dunes in Al Batin sands in the Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali). In the foreground a large bush grows on the left in a flat sandy area at the top of a dune. Just behind the bush is a deep sand trough which leads to a second dune ridge. The second dune is marked by camel tracks and footprints. Beyond the depression is a large salt flat (sabkha), which is bordered by far wind-rippled dunes and dotted with some sparse vegetation.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
