Description
View of the limestone cliffs of Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] mountain. In the foreground a few trees and bushes dot a flat plain. Dark Limestone cliffs rise in a steep wall above the plain. In the high left, light coloured rock tops the darker coloured rock of the lower slopes. Wilfred Thesiger spent a week on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] hunting Arabian Tahr [Hemitragus jayakari] with Arab and Bedouin guides in April 1948.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
