Description
View of one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions at their campsite in the Al Khatam sands south of Al Ain, during their journey towards Al Humrah sands. In the foreground camping gear and camel blankets lie scattered across the sand amongst small tufts of qassis (sedge). At the centre one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions leads two camels through the camp, while on the far left a third camel is couched in the sand. In the background a large clump of trees grows on the right, while in the far left distance low rolling dunes stretch out towards the horizon.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
