Portrait of Salim bin Tamtaim, sheikh of the Bayt Ghuwas lineage of Bayt Kathir Bedouin, resting on the ground during the party's journey from Shisr well to Mughshin Oasis. Salim bin Tamtaim was one of the leaders of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
