Description
Seated portrait of Salim bin Kabina, one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin guides, eating a meal during the party's journey from Ramlat al Ghirbaniyat to Furai well. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, crouches in the foreground, placing a morsel of food in his mouth. He wears a light coloured thobe (shirt) and a dark coloured ghutra (headscarf). In the background sand fills the distance behind him.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
